Nature of Native Land

We must live in an active way. It has become the motto of the school touristic team "Kasus-junior". No sooner said than done. The team under the guidance of Chikrizova N.M. systematically goes out of town and participates in touristic rallies, goes on walking and sailing trips. After the bustle and furious rhythm of the town it is particularly wonderful to have a rest near the river, to sit together with others near the fire in the evenings, to tell interesting stories and to listen to songs on a guitar, to enjoy fresh and clean air of the mountains and to forget momentary about all problems and duties waiting you at home. It is also a brilliant opportunity to test yourself, your physical and mental forces. There is a touristic saying: "If you want to test your friend, take him in the mountains".

All streaks of charakter reveal themselves in the extremal situations: either fortitude and a wish to help your friend in his hour of need, or a wish to help yourself.

And how numerous are the impressions children get in each trip and touristic rally! During the journeys they get into comic situations and extraordinary occurences. That's why they always have something to remember and to tell in the classroom or in a jolly crowd. In the trips children become self-dependent. They organize their life and prepare food on fire themselves 'cause nobody will do it for them. They learn to communicate and to behave adequate in the group of children from their and other schools. But not only mountains appeal to the team "Kazus-junior". In summer 2002 and 2003 they went on a sailin trips on catamarans and kayaks down the river Syrdarya. paradise". Hot sun, warm water, wild nature and fishing - that is the real romance! And how sunburnt do the children look like when they return home!

Rewarding

But of course the main event in the life of each tourist is the competition. Touristic meetings are held by the Regional Station of Young Tourists of Shymkent in the ravine Burguluk. On the 15-19^th of June 2003 Open Regional Competitions of pupils on the tourism technique "Hello, summer!" were held. On this competition the school team took the II. place, on the 3-8^th of July 2002 - the III. place on the Republic Youth Meeting, on the 27-29^th of September - the I. place on the rally "Golden Autumn". In May 2003 on the pupils' rally "Spring Thunderstorms" the team "Kazus-junior" took five prize places and also the III. and the II. places on the touristic meetings in J uly and September 2003.
